Welcome to The Patterns Game! The goal is to use as few hints as possible to figure out the pattern and accurately fill out the grid!
The Goal
Each square in the grid has a color and a shape. Your task is to figure out the pattern and fill in all the squares correctly.
Scoring
- Score = Total Correct - Total Incorrect
- The fewer hints you use, the higher your potential score
- Try to solve the puzzle with as few hints as possible for the best score!
How to Play
- Select a shape (symbol) from the symbol buttons
- Select a color from the color buttons
- Click on grid cells to fill them with your selected shape and color
- Use hints strategically to verify your guesses
- Submit your solution when all cells are filled
Controls
- Select: Click this button to enter selection mode, then click cells to select them
- Clear Selection: Removes the selection from selected cells
- Get Hints: Select some cells first, then click this to get hints about those cells (remember: fewer hints = better score!)
- Fill Randomly: Automatically fills all empty cells with random shape/color combinations
- Clear Cells: Clears the currently selected cells (or cells you click on)
- Clear All Cells: Clears the entire grid
- Submit: Submit your solution when you're ready (all cells must be filled)
Tips
- Look for patterns in the puzzle description
- Use hints wisely - each hint affects your final score
- You can drag across multiple cells to fill or select them quickly
